The Coat of Eyes

The Coat of Eyes

This artifact is a coat made entirely of flesh, and covered in many, many eyes. In order to use it, the bearer must allow the coat to attach itself to him/her. Doing so will cause the coat to burrow into the skin of the bearer. The Coat’s main objective is to see and record the world. Being sentient, it will favor or harm its bearer depending on how it helps it accomplish this goal. When its bearer fails to do this, or is damaged beyond the normal point of survival, the coat will remove itself from the bearer, usually causing damage.

The Coat has a unique connection to Belashyrra, the Lord of Eyes, who owns the coat. He may view through the Coat at will. Currently, the Coat is in the possession of the adventuring party, after winning it from Belashyrra’s servant during the Harvest of Kyber. Currently, the Coat remains in Amrek’s possession, hidden in his bag. As it remains covered at all times, it is very, very unhappy with it’s current owner.

Recently, however, the Coat was lost. When the Party was taken into custody in Wroat, the Coat was confiscated, and it was not among their possessions when they fled from the Tower of Inquisition.
